The cheapest price is rarely the best price, and a July 2026 FCC ruling blocking new foreign-made robot dogs makes the number matter more. Any American entrant will be judged against Unitree’s $1,600 Go2 Air.
We tested nine prices with 229 American tech buyers who are interested in a robot dog and have the budget to buy one. Without seeing Unitree’s price, they pointed to it: $1,600 delivered the highest implied revenue, with 54% saying they would buy. The lowest-resistance price, $932, sits roughly 15% below that revenue peak.
